Tom is a PhD researcher at the University of Manchester. His PhD research, “developing a multi-layer intelligent digital framework for sustainable and efficient formulation manufacturing”, involves developing industrial scale data-analysis and process modelling tools to support more sustainable and environmentally conscious formulation process and product design.
His research is intended to reduce experimental burden during process scale up, improve process efficiency and reduce waste through process modelling and optimisation, and help advance the digital maturity of the chemical product industry.
